Should I try to make my box to store patio chairs outside for the winter or ventilated sealed against moisture?

I'm building it from scraps of wood to sit on the balcony in order to protect our outdoor furniture for the winter in Paris, which may be below freezing and very wet. I want to prevent oxidation of metal components and putrefaction of the chair cushions. Thanks for your help! The balcony is quite protected I wonder if I should try to make the airtight box (and probably not 100% successful), or whether to leave the vents on the protected side to allow any moisture or condensation to evaporate.

The chairs I would do fine in a ventilated box = no But the cushions have thought one or two - or however many that you need - vacuum sealed bags. Take air and vacuum seal your vacuum = I have stored blankets and quilts and sleeping bags during the winter in my garage with great success. sold in all department stores - Walmart, Kmart, Target, etc.
