The padding is also designed to be fast drying, but if it is going to rain Friday night or Saturday morning and you know you're going to use it Saturday afternoon, it might not dry fast enough for you.

Being water repellent and fast drying are certainly a help, but they still tend to get a bit dirty out there. If I'm not going to be using them during the work week, I take them in and put them back on the weekend. If you notice after a few months that they are not as water repellent as they were, you can buy a spray can of the repellent to renew.

Not all weather is ideal for spending time outside. When the more unbearable seasons roll around you will want to protect your investment in your patio furniture by making sure it is properly covered. Leaving your furniture exposed, even though it is most likely treated to prevent things like rust, will still subject it to harsh conditions and it won't last forever, especially from constant abuse.
